TFG Transfracht supports the transport of art work by rail

10.06.2010 - TFG Transfracht is supporting internationally renowned object artist Florian Borkenhagen with the unusual transport of a large work of art. The work of art, which was produced especially for the exhibition Design Miami Basel/ART Basel, is 8 metres large and is fastened onto the coach itself. The "Art on rails" work will be transported with the AlbatrosExpress from Hamburg to Basel on 8 June 2010. "Only the safest solution was an option for me when it came to transporting the sensitive object - and that is transport by rail," says Florian Borkenhagen, the artist who produced the work. "We are delighted to be able to support Florian Borkenhagen and make a small contribution to the exhibition," is how Berit Börke, TFG Sales Manager, explains her involvement.

TFG Transfracht, an associated company of HHLA Intermodal GmbH and DB Mobility Logistics AG, is the market leader in seaport-hinterland traffic to and from Germany's seaports. The company transports containers for shipowners and shipping agents from German seaports direct to recipients in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and from first shippers to German seaports.
TFG connects three countries (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) and two seaports (Bremerhaven and Hamburg) with the AlbatrosExpress rail network. With more than 15,000 connections a year and 20 terminals, the AlbatrosExpress network is the most extensive rail network in European seaport-hinterland transport.
